Empty Bowls: Kickoff Brunch Celebration
Our 2017 Empty Bowls Project will Kick Off at a special Sharing Celebration Brunch, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Urban Eats Cafe in South City. Please come join us again! This month-long project is to raise money for St. Anthony's Food Pantry - a vital neighborhood institution serving the disadvantaged in our South City neighborhoods (63111, 63116 and 63118) for decades.
You'll have hundreds of Artisan bowls to choose from, and plenty of our delicious chicken and vegan soups to enjoy-:)! NEW this year: freshly baked bread, generously donated by Fazio's Bakery on the Hill.
This is how Empty Bowls Donations work: you select an Artisan Bowl that you'd like to keep, then choose one of Urban Eats' seasonal soups (Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili (vegan) or White Bean Chicken Chili) to fill it, with our Compliments!
A handcrafted bowl, delicious homemade soup and bread, and a vital cause, all for the suggested donation of $15/bowl. 100% of the proceeds goes to St. Anthony's Food Pantry.
You can also participate in the rest of our small plates, small price Art Brunch Sunday adventure- small, affordable tasty eats that come to you on carts every few minutes.
About our Art Brunch Sundays: On December 3, we'll have live music by Kyle Walz and an art opening by Russell Vanecek; plus beautiful new art work from 3 other local artists. All reasonably priced and available for purchase.
Our brunch carts feature Urban Eats' Holiday Happiness Boozie, Pulled Pork Sliders, Stuffed French Toast, Eggs Florentine, Chicken Potstickers, and many other tasty treats. We also have many Vegan and Gluten Free items on the carts for our friends with those dietary needs, from GF Belgian Waffles, Tofu Scramble and Vegan Lemon Bars
We hope you can stop by this coming Sunday! If you can't make it, please still consider reserving your Empty Bowls online, and help us spread the word by forwarding this email or share it on Facebook.
