Our 2019 Empty Bowls Project will Kick Off at on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Urban Eats with new Bowls and demos in the dining room by our Potter David McBeth. Please come join us again!
This month-long annual project is designed to raise money for St. Anthony's Food Pantry - a vital neighborhood institution serving the disadvantaged in our South City neighborhoods (63111, 63116 and 63118) for decades.
You'll have hundreds of Artisan bowls to choose from, and plenty of our delicious chicken and vegan soups to enjoy-:)! Freshly baked bread, generously donated by Bridge Bread.
This is how Empty Bowls Donations work:
You select an Artisan Bowl that you'd like to keep, then choose one of Urban Eats' seasonal soups (Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili (Vegan) or White Bean Chicken Chili) to fill it, with our Compliments! The Soup & Bread are absolutely free.
You can donate to take home as many Bowls as you like for gifts, or to stock your own china cabinet!
You'll take home your Empty Bowl to enjoy, but it will also serve as a reminder of the millions of people who still have no food security in this country.
A handcrafted bowl, delicious housemade soup and bread, and a vital cause, all for the suggested donation of $20/bowl. 100% of the proceeds go to St. Anthony's Food Pantry. Urban Eats keeps none of the money. We just provide the venue, the promotion and the soups.
We hope you can stop by on December 7! If you can't make it, please still consider reserving your Empty Bowls online, pick up your bowl and soup in the Café and help us spread the word by forwarding this information or sharing it on Facebook.
